About the artist

Drew Cuturilo is a Serbian artist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who works primarily with pencil, ballpoint pen, and occasionally charcoal. Mr. Cuturilo studied art under former Disney animator Alexander Frendy in a three-year accelerated art program in the 90s. Mr. Cuturilo has always been drawn towards, and inspired by, the darker side of art, entertainment, and literature. His exceptional talent was evident from a young age (often landing him in trouble in school when his macabre artwork was discovered by teachers) and he has translated that passion into a curated collection of works that leave visitors feeling inspired and in awe. Mr. Cuturilo sets out to explore the depths of surrealism, fantasy, and cosmic horror through intricate pencil and ballpoint pen drawings. Each piece is meticulously crafted to create an immersive experience for the viewer, drawing them into otherworldly places and ideas. Mr. Cuturilo's aim is to create a feeling of intrigue, of fascination, a sense of the unknown, and even unease in those who come to experience his work. His artwork has appeared in illustrated novels, including the english language publication of the French novella The Man Who Made God, co-written by Momo Milla Gross and film director Richard Stanley (Color Out Of Space, Hardware, Dust Devil), inside the pages of the American horror literature anthology Cosmic Horror Monthly, and on several covers of the horror literature anthology Lovecraftiana published in the United Kingdom. He has been influenced by the works of Gustave Doré, Hans Rudiger Giger, Zdzisław Beksiński, and Salvador Dalí, as well as the written works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, and William Hope Hodgson.
